Went and saw Harold and Kumar go to White Castle this weekend. It was pretty good, funny along the lines of Dude wheres my car. Lots of cameos as well, some creepier than others. Thinking back to the last time I went to white castle, it was a while ago. It was a bit of a play on the Asian American stereotypes I guess, but it was a bit more proactive and evened out than previous movies have been.
As for the end of the Democratic convention, I was most impressed by Barack Obama, and Al Sharpton. Both addressed some of the division in the country that has come from the past 4 years, and both addressed some greater cultural issues that divide the two parties. More specifically, mention of votes being taken for granted or being for sale. Edwards and Kerry were more predictable, a similar repeat to what went on during the primaries.
I was disappointed by Dean’s speech overall, I wonder if the establishment told him to tone it down a bit for the cameras. The crowd was going crazy for him and he didn’t really give them much to be excited with.
